(NOT FINISHED)Detailed Commission Information

Mon Aug 13, 2007, 8:28 PM
Aridan: OK you can either commission me to draw something I have seen in my travels or whatever...or you can commission Shulamyth to draw whatever you feel like...It's up to you...

Oh and my retarded creator doesn't have a PayPal account yet. So until she gets one going you're gonna have to use the conversion doo-hickey on the bottom (for Gaia gold) or a DeviantART subscription or you can go to the "What I want/What I have" journal to see what you can trade. Keep in mind that the object has to be of equal value.

First, a disclaimer: The amount you are paying is based on the effort I put into the piece and the price of supplies. You are, by no means, paying for the characters.

TRADITIONAL PIECES

Starting Price (with shipping): 20.00 U.S.

Why are you paying 15 dollars? Because you are covering shipping costs, too. If it were up to me, I'd just say ten dollars, but I can't afford to spring nice envelopes and protector sheets, this is how it has to be. Sorry folks.

Starting Price (without shipping): 10.00 U.S.

If you don't want the original but would like a piece done traditionally, then this is for you!

One Character Bust, 2.00 U.S. + starting price

A bust is defined from the chest up.

One Character Full Length, 5,00 U.S. + starting price

From head to toe.

+For Additional Characters or detailing, 2.00 U.S. each

This charge is for additional characters and extremely detailed or somewhat difficult pose single characters.

+Background, 8.00 U.S.

This may seem a bit pricey, but this is the only amount I'm charging, regardless of detail, with very few exceptions. So if you want your character in a neat setting, it might take a bit longer (especially if it's extremely detailed), but it is an 8.00 charge no matter what you pick.

+Color (pencil), 5.00 U.S.

The drawing, by default, will be pencil shaded. However, color will cost you five dollars, and, as with the background charge, this is a flat rate, and will only be inflated in EXTREME cases. I use Prisma and Prang pencils just an FYI.

+Color (digital), SEE DIGITAL COMMISSIONS: Traditional Linearts, Digital Color

+Color (marker), 10.00 U.S.

The reason why this price runs up is because markers are much more expensive then pencils. I use Prisma markers so where I'm from, individual markers cost around 3.00 U.S. The cheapest Kit that I could find was a 42 U.S. kit that contained 24 markers. The only colors I currently have are 6 shades of grey, a red, a blue, and a black! The rest are sharpies that I use for accent colors. So the coloring will primarily be in shades of grey with accent colors here and there.

+Early Due Date: 5.00 U.S. and an additional 2.00 after

If you want your piece to be bumped up to the top of my list of commissions you have to pay a base of 5.00 for two spots and an additional 2.00 for each additional spot. (There is a list of my commissions and their order of priority here)

DIGITAL PIECES

Digital Starting Price (without shipping), 15.00 U.S.

Digital linearts are HARD for me. That's the only reason why it costs more. (However, check out Traditional Lineart, Digital Coloring (without lineart) for a possible price deduction)

Digital Starting Price (for shipping), 30.00 U.S.

The reason this costs more than the Traditional shipping is because this will be printed on Glossy Photo paper and I'm using an HP Photosmart 3210xi Printer (total ink cost ~67.94 U.S.), plus an envelope, plus a decent protector.

+Traditional Lineart with Digital Color (without lineart included), -5.00 U.S. to 1.00 U.S.

YOU CAN GET A POSSIBLE PRICE REDUCTION FROM DIGITAL STARTER PRICE! If I can traditionally draw the lineart and then color it, I will personally thank you by offering a price deduction. The more detailed the coloring and lineart, the less the price deduction and the possibility of adding a dollar to the price. However you will not get the original lineart with this...

+Traditional Lineart with Digital Color (with lineart included), 5.00 U.S. to 10.00 U.S.

...but with this one you do! However, you don't get the nice discount. Again, price varies according to detail. Keep in mind that you are also paying for a cover with this.

And now, for the F.A.Q. . . .

What can you draw?

I’m good at drawing in a manga/anime style. I can do landscapes in a realistic style. If you would like to have an idea of what I can draw please go here or here

What do you suck at?

Realism and buildings.

Can you draw me porn/furry-porn/yaoi/yuri?

No. If you want an intimate situation (i.e.: kissing, etc.) that is by all means possible, but there will be no sticking it in.

...Can s/he be naked?

Depends. I "creatively" cover up naughty bits, but bluntly draw them no. I still live with my parents so it would kinda be awkward to show them.

Do you draw anthropomorphics/Fursonas?

DUH! Look in my gallery. As long as you have a clear idea of what kind of animal you are wishing to portray, I will do my best.

Can I you draw my character with _____?

I can, and I will, but keep in mind that I am being paid for the drawing, and not the character.

Can I post your artwork and claim it as my own?

OH HELL NO!! That is COPYRIGHT infringement! Yes, you paid for it, however, it was my work, and my time. I'm sorry, but if I find it posted anywhere other than my deviantART page (or on your wall) you WILL be blacklisted.

I want you to draw something, but I don't want to pay that much. Can you lower the price for me?

Probably not (unless you’re a friend). There will be times, when, yes, I MIGHT be able to charge you less, but first time buyers especially will be priced strictly.

What happens if I buy more than one piece?

If you commission me for more than one piece, whether at once, or over a period of time, depending on the size of the project, I may hack off a few dollars. Call it frequent buyer points, or something.

How long is this going to take?

Different sizes of art commissions take different amounts of time. From there, once it has entered the mail system, it's a matter of days. Drawings, however, will seldom take more than a week, unless demand is harsh or I find myself victim of an art block or I'm really busy (school, school projects, work, family, bf...sorry people but I have a life too.).

...And what if you get an art block?

I'm not too keen on giving refunds, but if it gets to the point where that is necessary, I will give you a full refund.

What forms of payment do you take? How will I be expected to pay?

With all commissions, there will be the starting price required before I start the piece, and the remainder of the cost after I have finished it. However, if you would simply like to pay it all at once up front, I will not object. Currently, I accept checks, Deviantart subscriptons, and items (I'll eventually have PayPal account). Information on where to send this money, and who to make your check out to will be noted to you, the customer.

What if I have an idea that’s not listed?

Well then note me the idea, and we’ll discuss a price according to size, time, and material consumption. I can do bookmarks and character sheets...but according to what you want (whether it’s standard square or funky shaped, fluctuates the price)

How does this process work?

:bulletred: You check and make sure I’m accepting Commissions.
:bulletred: If I am, note me giving a brief description of what you want. If there’s a specific character that you want, please send links that have pictures of that character.
:bulletred: I’ll either accept or decline
:bulletred: if I decline, I will tell you why I declined. Whether I can’t draw it, I find it offensive, I’m busy, ect.
:bulletred: If I accept we continue the process.
:bulletred: You send me the “starting payment”. Please note, that I will not start the piece until I receive payment, unless it’s under a special circumstance.
:bulletred: I work on the piece. I will send you a basic sketch, and you accept or decline. But look, please don’t be one of those people who are so...picky. PLEASE DON’T BE!
:bulletred: I send you a crazily watermarked piece to show you the completed piece.
:bulletred: You send the rest of the payment.
:bulletred: As soon as I receive the payment, I will send you the piece.
:bulletred: If you are getting it sent via email I will send you a piece that is signed or has one hidden watermark.
:bulletred: If you ordered the original/copied piece, It will be sent in an envelope -DUH- with a protector sheet. If I can get the kind that says “DO NOT BEND” It will be one of those.
